[ details for the bride planning notes seasonal suggestion ]
Bea Schriver Florals is a design studio that focuses specifically on floral designs for special events and interior decorating of homes and businesses. Because we are not distracted by normal retail business, we are able to offer exceptional personalized service. We personally travel to wholesalers to choose flowers and materials of the highest quality and greatest variety.
We believe in creating floral designs that are harmonious with the venue or environment in which they will be enjoyed. Whether you are planning your wedding ceremony in a church or a courtyard, celebrating a birthday or baby-to-be at your home or favorite restaurant, or planning an anniversary celebration for 2 or 200, we will search and discover floral approaches to be developed specifically for your event.
We also offer a free consultation and provide a detailed estimate for your review. It is our job to create a floral environment that is just right for you and your vision. We listen carefully and work collaboratively with you to ensure the successful translation of your style and expectations into a one-of-a-kind floral reality. To insure you have our utmost attention, we handle only one major event per weekend.
We enjoy incorporating unique items such as fruits, vegetables and other organic elements with flowers to further create texture and dimension in our designs. We also enjoy using bold and unusual color combinations to create distinctive and dramatic effects.
The Details
We believe that it is the small details that make any event a success. We own and have access to rental items that will provide the finishing touches to your event. A sampling of these pieces includes:
- table linens, decorative fabric & tulle
- silver bowls
- urns & pedestals
- topiary forms
- chuppas and arches
- candlesticks and candelabras
- aisle runners
- framed table numbers
- ficus trees with intricate lighting

Flowers play an important role in setting the scene and creating a festive, celebratory environment. They are the single element that unifies every aspect of the wedding; the wedding party, the wedding ceremony, and the reception. It is important that you define your wedding style before choosing your flowers. Whether it be classic, contemporary, traditional or country.
Flowers convey unspoken emotions, so you may want to choose flowers that have special meaning to you such as a rose that your fiancé gave you on your first Valentine's Day together, or a flower that was carried by your mother on her wedding day.
At Bea Schriver Florals we believe that every bride has a unique vision of how her wedding should be and we feel it is our job to capture that vision and transform it into reality.
Planning Notes
Bea Schriver Florals handles only one wedding per weekend in order to ensure the exceptional level of quality and service that our clients deserve. Therefore, we must require a minimum of $2,500 per order, not including tax and delivery. Those planning a wedding may already know that certain wedding guides suggest that 10 percent of the total budget is customary for the flowers. Given our standards for quality, creativity and professionalism in addition to our goal to exceed client expectations, we believe that a more realistic starting point is 15 percent of the total budget.
It is also extremely important for the success of any event, especially a wedding, that the flowers be of the same quality and design style throughout. In order to ensure consistency and your total satisfaction, we prefer to handle only those weddings that wish to utilize our expertise for the entire event.

Bea's Seasonal Suggestions
Spring - In the spring I love to use pastel colors such as soft pink, yellow, lavender and periwinkle blue. Bulb flowers are abundant at this time - such as tulips, daffodils and hyacinths. Flowering branches such as Quince and Forsythia are great in large arrangements. Other favorite flowers are lily of the valley for bridal bouquets, peonies, locally grown lilacs in white and lavender.
Summer - In summer I like to use vibrant contrasting colors such as hot pink and orange, royal blue and bright yellow, purple and red. I like to use flowers that grow in the garden such as hydrangea, delphinium, larkspur, roses, astilbe, campanula and foxglove.
Fall - I love fall colors such as eggplant, coral, gold and rust. Monte Negro lilies, leonidas roses, spicy roses, hypericum berries, bittersweet, pumpkins, gourds, squash, pee gee hydrangea, dahlias, sunflowers, amaranthus, and wheat are some of my favorite fall flowers and materials.
Winter - In the winter, all white is beautiful and elegant. It evokes the feeling of a fresh snowfall. Red roses with berries and lots of evergreens are wonderful during the holidays. Lots of candles in different heights help to create a warm and festive atmosphere. I also like using deep rich colors like, burgundy. My favorites, because of their rich texture and color, are burgundy miniature calla lilies and black magic roses.
